We, the EMA (Ecological Mining Association), help miners and their women and children in Morocco and all around the world who are suffering from environmentally damaging operations and poor working conditions in the mining industry by transforming mines into safe, efficient, ecological and sustainable operations, to stop negative impact on people and destruction of nature. Our goal is to enable people to lead safer, healthier and more prosperous lives.
The objective of this association is to support and implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the mining sector, as well as the various targets of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Creating new, fair-paid jobs in the mining industry of impoverished countries
We support local food production to ensure the long-term supply of healthy and ecologically produced food to miners and their families.
-We educate people about the harmful effects of environmentally destructive mining practices and the elements used in them.
-We train mining companies and their employees in sustainable, ecological and efficient mining practices.

The Ecological Mining Association was founded on a simple but radical premise: mining and environmental stewardship are not mutually exclusive. For over 15 years, we have worked at the intersection of science, policy, and community action.
